In the world of gaming, a balance is always a balance. It just doesn’t usually show up as a balance in the world of real life. We are all prone to losing control of our lives due to our own egocentricity and personal agendas. Balance can actually be a dangerous thing. If you feel a thing’s potential, you can take control of it, and then end up feeling resentful that you did not take control of it.
The game is a kind of time-looping stealth game, and it actually can be challenging to balance this kind of game with the traditional type. As it turns out, the balance is not quite there, as you will notice by playing the game. Because the game is designed a little too much like a stealth game with guns and powers, and not enough like a traditional game, the balance will feel off.
I don’t think we can expect the developers to just take care of the whole balancing problem. But I can’t imagine them making a game without some kind of balance. For a stealth game, the balancing trick is to have your guns and powers be controllable. The game will make you feel like you can’t have them just because you don’t want them.
If we see the game as a stealth game, then the balance will be off. You will feel more free to wander around the game exploring the environment and figuring out what makes it tick but will feel more constrained in some areas. Whereas a game like Hitman will have the guns so you can sneak up on enemies and fire a few shots in hopes of putting them down. The problem is that you dont have the guns to be able to do that.
That said, the game’s weapons feel really nice, and they do not cause any of the game’s enemies to die. While it is true that the enemies in Hitman are a little too dumb to be that scary, its not by much.
In Deathloop, the enemies are not too dumb at all, because the way you kill them is by having them crawl up into trees and then jump to the ground. It is by far the most effective method of killing them. This is because the enemies are more intelligent, and they tend to have more knowledge in their brains that you would not think of having. In Hitman, it is not by much.
