I first came to know humayun ka makbra kahan hai in a chat with my friend and fellow blogger, Sian. It was her birthday and I was looking for something sweet to give her. So I came up with humayun kahan hai, a simple but delicious dessert filled with candied yams and raisins, topped with a homemade caramel sauce. It was a simple but delicious dessert that couldn’t be easier to make.
So I started making some more of my own. I’d already made some of my own and I’d already made some of my own. So I just made up my own and made up my own.

Humayun ka makbar kahan hai is an Indian cake filled with candied yams and raisins and topped with a homemade caramel sauce. It is so simple that I don’t have to think about it every time I make it. So I can just take it out of the freezer, put some eggs in it, bake it and then take a bite of it and voila, its done.
Humayun ka makbra kahan hai is a little bit of an oddity. Unlike the other Indian cakes I’ve made, it doesn’t have any coconut in it. In fact, the only coconut in the recipe is the yam and raisin topping. But it’s a sweet cake that tastes exactly like it does in the photograph.
I love that its called Humayun ka Makbra because it sounds a little like “broom” too. It’s a very simple recipe, really. There is no egg in the batter, no sugar, and no flour. You can make it in a regular pan or in the microwave, and you can also bake it in a dish and then cut it into wedges.
The recipe says to use bananas or apples in the recipe, but I never use bananas or apples in my recipes. They make the batter too runny and heavy. But the cake is a really solid mix of bananas and apples and raisins.
The recipe also says to use 1/2 cup of raisins, but I find that it is much easier if you use raisins in small amounts. So I always use a few raisins. But the recipe is great for a party, because all you have to do is make a big cake, and everyone can come over and have it.
I find the recipe more versatile. It’s easy to make, as long as you have bananas and apples, you can make a really nice cake. I like to make it a bit too dark, though. If you want a lighter cake, use a lighter raisin batter, like we do.
I’ve always been a big fan of the Humayun ka Makbra. I think it has a lot of great flavor, and the raisins really do add a nice flavor to the cake. I like the idea of using raisins in the cake batter too, as they’ll add a nice sweetness to it.
