The liberal response to an anti-abortion bill is to claim that the bill is not about abortion, it’s about saving lives. And the liberals are right, that is an accurate statement. The bill is about preventing deaths by providing abortions, and that is what is at the center of the debate. The bill only mentions abortion so the liberals will claim this is not about abortion. However, the bill does not mention abortion so the liberal claim is not true.
But, to the liberals, the bill is not about abortion, it is about preventing a death. They claim that they are defending a woman’s right to choose. However, the bill does not mention a woman’s right to choose so the claim is not true.
However, one part of the bill is aimed at preventing a womans right to choose. The bill states that a pregnant woman may have an abortion for medical reasons and not out of fear of being raped. However, the bill does not mention a womans right to choose so the claim is not true.
For a liberal to claim that they are defending a womans right to choose is ridiculous. The bill states that a pregnant woman may have an abortion for medical reasons and not out of fear of being raped. One could argue that in general, a woman should be able to choose to have an abortion. But when a woman is raped by a rapist, as there are some women that are raped for a reason, they are not able to choose this option for themselves.
The only liberal argument I ever hear is that the womans right to choose is a human right and it should be protected. But this is ridiculous. As most of you know, human rights are not protected in the United States, and for good reason. If a woman is raped, the only thing that can happen will be to kill her. That’s a human right. The right to not be killed is a human right. A womans right to choose is not a human right.
I don’t even want to talk about the right to not be killed if she doesn’t choose to be killed. The most liberal argument I’ve ever heard is that the rights of women to choose rape should be protected, and if they don’t choose to be raped, then they shouldn’t have any rights. But this is ridiculous.
the right to choose to be raped? this is a human right.
Again, this is not even the first time Ive heard this argument, but it is the most ridiculous one Ive ever heard. And it has no basis in human rights.
You cannot compare a human right to a right to choose not to be raped. The right to choose not to be raped is a human right, and it has nothing to do with the right to choose to be raped.
What do you mean by “choosing not to be raped”? Rape is a crime, a very serious crime. I don’t see how you can compare the two as if they’re the same thing.
